Yesterday the contractors started the renovation work on our additional Intuit office in
Solaris Mont Kiara.

We are excited to get this office. And yeah i get a office to :-)

We had a great time at the Asterconference meeting a lot of our friends, having drinks and great food, while talking about the latest nerdy asterisk stuff :-)

Sadly i had the flu (still have it) and was not 100% myself!

My "famous" we need to unite speech. I could candidate for 1Malaysia... :-)

It needs the Sales Director of Digium (Greg Vance), Asterisk/Digium famous trainer David Duffet and a "software doctor" to make a simple skype setup to talk to Mark Spencer....

David and Greg "stole" chocolate.... Nathalie thought she got a picture with Doug from Sangoma and Greg from Digium. She was so proud that she got the two "enemies" in one picture until i told her that Doug is actually David... :-)

Yes!!!!!. We made it to the 'old' world. :-) I'm proud to represent Intuit next week at the Astrieurope 2010 in Paris with a speech about large Asterisk setups.

Looking forward to meet old friends and make new ones. Hope we will see a lot of asterisk interested people and can bring more business back home to Malaysia.

Intuit rocks and yes we are as always looking for talents to join us in our adventures.

To make the message waiting indicator work (on a Yealink phone, or maybe any phone) with Asterisk 1.6 and FreePBX 2.7 you need to modify the voicemail.conf in /etc/asterisk to:

pollmailboxes=yes
pollfreq=5

Sample:

If you try to browse http://www.yourhomepage.com:79 Firefox will cancel this request for your protection.
It does that by default whenever you use a port other than port 80 - the default website port.

Solution:

1. Open Firefox

2. Type [i]about:config[/i] in the browser address field and hit enter

3. Right click anywhere on the screen. An "menu" opens

4. Select "new > string"

5. Enter preference name as: [i]network.security.ports.banned.override[/i]

6. Enter string value as: [i]79 [/i](or whatever port number you want)

Done. Now you can access your website on a non-standard port.

Don't ask me how to do this with IE.
